The KPI Essentials Masterclass is designed to support you in developing key competencies in performance management, with the aim of improving processes such as KPI selection, KPI documentation, KPI data gathering and reporting in your organization. This workshop will enhance your decision-making process by indicating a structured way to use the performance management tools.

Dr. Maitham Al Oraibi is a Management Consultant at The KPI Institute, the global authority on Key Performance Indicators research and education. He has a unique mixture of practical and academic experience regarding both the private and public sectors. He has a proven record of success of more than 21 years, out of which 15 years were in the petrochemical industry and five years in the government sector.

Maitham has participated as a lead consultant in several major performance and strategy execution projects, using a 3rd generation Balanced Scorecard methodology, in some of the major private and public organizations in the Middle East.

He boasts a vast experience in implementing and auditing Quality Management Systems, Environmental Management Systems, as well as Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems. In addition, he has first-hand experience regarding organizational and individual development practices. He has a Certificate of Training Practices from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development of UK.

Maitham holds a BSc in chemical engineering from the University of Bahrain, an MSc in environmental technology from UMIST-Manchester; and a PhD in Public Management from Brunei University. In his PhD, he investigated the impact of mandatory organizational performance measurement reporting, as a policy lever in public management, on inter-organizational collaboration or networking.

Co-author and presenter of several papers that highlights the perks of using the quality management system as a framework, the role of training in corporate social responsibility and also the impact of publicly reported quality assurance on accountability in policy networks.

He delivered workshops on topics like “National Development and Governance”, “Project Management” and “Quality Management” for a number of executives in the public sector from Qatar, as well as being a part of the organising committee for a couple of conferences: 

The First QQA Conference “Quality Assurance: towards better future”;

The “Improving VET quality through internal and external quality assurance” Conference.
